Welcome to our website! Please spend some time exploring through the many pages because there are several things to see and learn about. The Fire Marshal's Office & Public Fire Education section covers many topics regarding fire safety including some regulations the citizens of Simsbury should be aware of. Please be sure to visit the Open Burning and Knox-Box Entry System pages in that section. In the Multimedia Gallery you can view images from some of our incidents, training drills and Fire Company events.

We hope you enjoy your stay and that you come back frequently. Don't forget to sign the guest book in the Contact Us section and thank you for visiting.

The average life expectancy of an apparatus is about twenty years but as Engine 5 approach-ed that milestone her chassis, motor and pump were still in excellent shape, except for some corrosion of the body. The deteriorated areas were repaired and the truck was completely repainted and a hydraulic lift for the ladder and hard-suction hose was also installed. The refurbishment of Engine 5 should add another five to ten years of life to this apparatus which is a significant savings to the tax payer.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY DIAL 911!

In Simsbury, dialing 911 gives you immediate access to the fire department, police and EMS. Emergency calls may also be placed via the red emergency phones located on the front of all of our fire stations except Main Station as our dispatch center is located there. For non-emergency calls you may contact the fire department directly by dialing 658-1971.
