A 1989 Ranger
body on a Sutphen chassis which was refurbished in 2008 to
repair body corrosion. Engine 5 was completely repainted adding
a white upper-half and detailed with new stripping and
lettering.
This pumper has a 1,250 GPM, two-stage
pump and carries 1,000 gallons of water and 50 gallons of Class B
foam concentrate. Carries a standard load-out of supply, attack
and hard-suction hoses, and ground ladders. Equipped with
typical engine company tools.
Engine 5's sister
truck is Engine 6, which is assigned to the West Simsbury
Station. Both apparatus were built to the same specifications
and delivered at the same time.
