A 2003 KME heavy
rescue with seating for six. The cab is air conditioned for
rehab and firefighter safety. Rescue 14 has a 35kw PTO driven
generator used to operate fixed and telescoping flood lighting,
two electric hydraulic power units for
extrication tools, along with other electrical equipment on the
apparatus. Rescue 14 also has a full compliment of Hurst
extrication equipment, high and low pressure air bags, and
cribbing and shoring devices for vehicle stabilization.
Rescue 14 is
additionally outfitted for high-angle rescues having several bags
of lifeline rope, rigging hardware, repelling harnesses and a
Stokes basket. The apparatus also carries hand tools, and
equipment for medical emergencies, water rescues and hazardous
materials spills.
