Welcome to the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company website at www.simsburyfd.org. This site was created for your personal enjoyment and education. However, you are only authorized to access this site or to use the materials contained in this site (regardless of whether your access or use is intended) if you agree to abide by all applicable laws, and to these Terms of Use which constitute and Agreement between you, the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company, and its affiliates. Please read these Terms of Use carefully and save them. The operators of this site reserve the right to modify or amend this Agreement without notice at any time. If you do not agree with these Terms of Use, you should leave the site immediately.

Access and Use
All materials contained within this site are protected by international trademark and copyright laws and must only be used for personal, non-commercial purposes. This means that you may only view or download material from this site for your own use and you must keep all copyright and other proprietary notices attached to the downloaded material.

The reproduction, duplication (including by way of email, facsimile or other electronic means), publication, modification, copying or transmission of material from this site is STRICTLY PROHIBITED unless you have obtained prior written permission of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company or its associates, or, unless it is expressly permitted by this site. The material covered by this prohibition includes without limitation, any text, graphics, logos, photographs, audio or video material of stills from audiovisual material available on this site. Site Tampering
No person(s) or organizations shall attempt to alter or disrupt the normal access of this site from legitimate users, otherwise known as "Denial of Service." This may include but shall not be limited to:

"flooding" the site and associated systems, thereby preventing legitimate site traffic;
attempts to prevent a particular individual from accessing a service;
attempts to disrupt service to a specific system or person;
spamming.

No unauthorized person(s) or organization shall be allowed to alter the content or any component of this site by any means, otherwise known as "hacking." This may include but shall not be limited to:

deleting or changing file or components;
uploading viruses, malicious scripts, hijacking, etc.

Only agents at the direction of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company, its affiliates or designees shall make alterations to this site.

Guest Book and Email Contact
Visitors are welcome to post, transmit or submit messages and other materials to the Guest book on the website, or to us via email communications. However, Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company and its affiliates accept no responsibility whatsoever in connection with or arising from such communications. In addition, persons under the age of 14 are prohibited from participating in electronic communication with or through this site, unless permitted by their parent(s), legal guardian or teacher, whom assume responsibility for their communication(s).

Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company does not endorse nor have control over the content of communications submitted by others to the Guest Book. These messages are not necessarily reviewed by us or our affiliates prior to posting and do not necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company, its members, or its affiliates. You agree to release the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company and its affiliates, together with their respective members, employees, agents and officers, from any and all liability and obligations whatsoever in connection with or arising from your use of the Guest Book. If at anytime you are not happy with the Guest Book or object to any material contained therein, your sole remedy is to immediately cease using it.

Other

This Agreement is governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Connecticut without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Connecticut or, if appropriate, the United States District Court for Connecticut for any resolution of any dispute, action or proceeding arising in connection with this Agreement or your use or non-use of the site, and you further irrevocably waive any right you may have to trial by jury in any such dispute, action or proceeding.

Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company and their logo, Simsbury Fire District and their logo, Simsbury Ladies Auxiliary, Main Station logo, Bushy Hill Station logo, Weatogue Station logo, Firetown Station logo and Tariffville Station logo are trademarks of their respective organizations, and all other trademarks used on the site are property of their respective owners, and all of the above trademarks may not be copied, downloaded or otherwise exploited without the permission of their respective owners, except as explicitly permitted in these Terms of Use.
