Welcome to our website!
Please spend some time exploring through the many pages because
there are several things to see and learn about. In the
Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company
section you will discover information about our organization,
how to become a member, the fire stations and apparatus, even
some of the gear we use to help protect the town and public.
The Fire Marshal's Office &
Public Fire Education
section covers many topics regarding fire safety including some regulations the
citizens of Simsbury should be aware of. Please be sure to visit
the
Open Burning

Knox-Box Entry System
pages in that section. In the
Multimedia Gallery
you can view images from some of our incidents, training drills
and Fire Company events.

anytime simply by clicking on our insignia. We hope you enjoy
your stay and that you come back frequently. Don't forget to

On the morning of October 30th the occupants of 38
Hoskins Road awoke to the sound of their smoke alarm and
discovered smoke on the second level in addition to hearing
crackling sounds. First arriving units found heavy smoke
emitting from the ridge and gable vents, and the
soffits. The fire's head start and attic
inaccessibility provided for a very labor
intensive operation with many ceilings and knee
walls having to be pulled to expose all of the
fire.

You remembered
to set your clock back with daylight savings
time but did you remember to change the
batteries in your smoke alarm? Smoke alarms are
effective but their batteries need to be changed
once a year if you expect them to operate when
you need them to the most. You can learn more
about
Smoke Alarms
in our
Public Fire Education
section.

Throughout the
year our Fire
Company hosts and participates in many events
within Simsbury and the surrounding communities.

upcoming events and make sure to click on the event
description for additional details.

This year's
Torchlight Parade will occur on November 29th
and the
