The Simsbury
Volunteer Fire Company is proud to be a supporter of the Jack
Bannon Turkey Trot which helps provide thousands of in-need
families a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. Each year the Fire
Company makes a donation of turkeys and provides stand-by
lighting for the collection site at the high school.
Many families and
individuals are feeling the pinch in these tough economic times.
Donations to the Simsbury Food Closet have dipped recently and
if you are able to give, please do so this holiday season. The
Simsbury Food Closet is located in the back of Eno Memorial Hall
at 754 Hopmeadow Street. Items may be dropped off Monday through
Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call
the social services department at 860-658-3283.
